The story begins with Megan coming from Los Angeles to visit for a week....
We drove to Idaho Falls to visit Greg (he escaped to Twin Falls with work and we didn't even see him) Em and the boys....
Grandma Char, Mindy, Ashlyn, Megan and I all excitedly arrived at Em's....
We visited, ate lunch (Em had a delicious salad and yummy taco soup ready for us) played May I, and decided to go to Texas Road House for dinner.....
After putting our name on the list to be seated...(the hostess refused to tell us how long the wait was and so Megan kindly asked her to give us a waiting time and she said 20 minutes)....
After 20 minutes of waiting Emily asked the hostess if we could be seated soon??????
WE HAD COUNTED AT LEAST 35 PEOPLE BEING SEATED AND WE WERE THE ONLY ONES WAITING!
35 minutes had passed and the hostess told my mother that they were just waiting for a table to pay.......
Colton was near tears saying, "I'm hungry!" The three children and Baby Crew had been good sports...but now it had been 45 minutes and they were seating people left and right as soon as they walked in the door and we all stood there with the cold air from the open door, very hungry children, and our tempers were beginning to boil.....
I then talked to the hostess and she began to lie.....maddening.....It was now 7:05 and she said, "You checked in at 6:25 and it is 7:05 so you have only been waiting 25 minutes".....I know I am not great at Math, but I could even figure that one out....
The manager then came and you could see he didn't like seeing 5 adult women, 3 children and a baby in a carrier standing in the entry way to the restaurant.....I had my car keys in hand and told everyone we were leaving.....But the kids didn't want to leave and Mike, the nice manager seated us quickly and kindly....
The hostess continued to lie to her boss...he shooed her to the back of the restaurant and we didn't see her but two times when she sneaked out to see if we were still eating.....OH MY!
The food was good, but the children were so tired that they laid on our laps after eating a little because it was now 8:15.....Colton was so cold that I had to get a blanket out of my car to wrap him in. Well, I just hope no one spit in our food......you know the old story of never making the restaurant help angry.....So that was our night at Texas Roadhouse...we ended up having a good meal, the BEST company, and we laughed and laughed at how silly the whole thing had been. I even left the waiter an 18% tip.....so not bad.

I heard about this! Argh. I can't believe how rude that girl was to you. I'm glad she didn't get away with it, and that you still got your TR!
Veronica, you didn't put the real emothions in this story! :> That girl was rude from the second we got there and I was hoping that they would have fired her on the spot. The manager made light of it and everything went well after that!! Too bad a 20 minute wait ended up being a 45 minute wait. Maybe Idaha has different math calculations than Utah.
I can't believe the attitude she gave you guys! EMILY, Utah people would never act that way because they are so much more righteous then Idaho people.:) Love you
