DAY TWO IN PORTLAND

Britt and I had a wonderful morning at the Portland Temple while Johnny was at work. I loved being there and had such wonderful memories of the day that Johnny and Brittney were married there. It is incredibly beautiful (the spires almost looked like they are hand carved by a master sculptor) and the grounds are so lovely with bright flowers and blooming trees. We had 5 elders in the session with us and they were so cute and attentive. Poor Britt had a coughing fit and one of the sisters came over to us with a cough drop that a man had given her to give us.....I loved being there with Brittney.

We picked Johnny up at work for a quick lunch at Lil' Cooperstown Pub and Grill which is down the street from his office. It is a great restaurant with sports memorabilia covering every inch of every wall and at least 20 televisions showing sports....sports.....sports! We had a great time!

Johnny, Brittney and I have had a great evening. Homemade shredded chicken tacos with the great Costco uncooked tortillas that you brown and cook on your own griddle.....so gooooood! Britt has been slaving away at finalizing their income taxes, Johnny has been doing tricks with his basketball (knocking a candlestick and candle over) and watching the NCAA basketball games....Emily is first in the bracket selections.......I am watching the games with one eye while my other one reads my great book "A Prisoner of Birth" by Jeffrey Archer. We need to get to bed earlier because we have to be up so early tomorrow and on the road by 7:30 am. (destination to be described tomorrow)

Did Britt color her hair darker? She is such a cute girl. Take more photos of their home, from the background it looks very cute! Can't wait to see what Day 3 has in store for y'all.
