DAY THREE IN PORTLAND

We got up very early so that we could be on the road to EUGENE for Johnny to be at a bottle line run to check on the production quality for customers. We drove through pouring rain all the way....But Johnny is now a pro in rain driving....from New Zealand and now Oregon. Beautiful scenery...and Eugene is a very nice city. I love seeing all the new places that comprise parts of their lives.
While Johnny was working, Britt and I went to the Valley River Center.....shopping! Britt's favorite store (other than Forever 21) is Scamp's......A PET STORE! I had to take a picture of her in front of some of the dogs for sale. I also had to take a picture of a picture.....my pet peeve about Abercrombie and Fitch.....I ask you *******what CLOTHES is this model trying to sell in this picture??????

We had lunch at a very swanky restaurant that Britt's dad, Bob, recommended. It is the Valley River Inn. It was right on the Willamette River. Our table was next to the window and we could watch the bicyclists, ducks, birds, and the rushing river. Relaxing and delicious!

Finally! I was able to see Autzen Stadium (Duck Stadium) in person. It is a great place. Unfortunately the gates were locked and I couldn't walk onto the field or see where Johnny and Britt's seats are for the football games....but I got a peak and it was wonderful.

Another FIRST! I was able to see Hayward Field (THE MOST AMAZING TRACK FIELD AND FACILITY ANYWHERE) Todd has run on this track many times (John, Megan and Laurel have all been to Eugene to watch the running) and I wasn't able to go and watch him. But they always came home raving about the track! Now I know why. Incredible!

Our road trip ended today in Tualatin at Jamba Juice. Delicious! They have a new jamba concoction with granola on top. Love it! Our cute little employee that took our order offered to be the BANANA in our picture. He was so excited......little did he know he would be on the BLOG for ALL to see. We have had a fun day together. I loved seeing more of Oregon. It is such a beautiful place. We have seen rain, snow, hail, patches of clouds, and even blue sky and a watery sun. Now the basketball games are boring......blow out wins......so Britt and Johnny are watching Season Two of Prison Break on DVD and I am catching up on the blogs and loving!!! my book. Good day number three!
