OUR BEAUTIFUL BALLERINA

When Jocelyn was about 7 1/2 years old she started crying and fighting going to jazz/tap/ class each week. She insisted that she wanted to do ballet. I finally got tired of the contention and let her quit dance. It was February and not the best time to find a new dance class, but a wonderful Miss Penny allowed Jocey to start classical ballet in her school. AMAZING! Dance became a wonder and adventure with nary a tear or fuss. Now here we are 9 years later and it is our BEAUTIFUL BALLERINA'S last ballet recital tonight.

I am so proud of Jocelyn and the talented dancer she has become. I am glad she knew so much better than I did about what kind of dancer she wanted to be. I will never forget watching her in last year's recital, Swan Lake. Grace and beauty all wrapped up in her ballerina body. Congratulations on your ballet years! WE have loved watching you develop your talent over all these years. A special thanks to Penny Duddleston McKay for being an extraordinary ballerina herself and being an excellent teacher for so many!

Dancing in the NUTCRACKER with Ballet West was a highlight of Jocelyn's ballet memories.
