Yesterday at 3:30 pm, Laurel and I pushed ourselves onto Greg and Emily when we heard that Em was running in a 5 K today in Idaho Falls. We packed and jumped into Laurel's car and away we drove hitting I-15. We found out last night that Greg was also running the 5 K race. He decided to run without training, just to see how he would do.
We got up early this morning to head to the race. Laurel kindly stayed home to watch Cannon and Crew. Greg, Em, Colton and I drove to the race site. Em was extremely nervous. This was the first time she had ever run in a race. We used to watch Todd and Megan run track (Meg also ran cross country) in high school and then followed Todd all over the place to watch him run in college. So now here we were with Em! There were lots of people stretching etc to get ready. Greg and Em met their friends Brady and Allie and also Ryan who were running too.
THE RESULTS ARE IN!
Greg the unsung hero crossed the finish line in 26 minutes.......(and some seconds)
We couldn't believe it. Amber, Ryan's wife, and their two children were watching with Colton and me. Emily came across the finish looking strong at 33 minutes! (Em took 5 minutes off of her best time) I was trying to take a picture of her, yell for her, and I was so choked up I couldn't even say her name. I was so happy for her and so proud of her.....always the mom, I guess. So I have downloaded some of the pictures from our less than 24 hour stay in Idaho Falls.
Colton and Cannon showing me their new bike tricks......(sorry I don't have a close up of Colton)
Happy mommy racer with Crew

Veronica, do you ever slow down? That was sweet going up there and supporting the runners. Hats off to them and anyone who runs marathons! The boys are growing up soooo fast. I love your family. Thanks for the advice on my blog pics. TaMara said she is going to help me or just do it for me. Later.
