Mother's Day Fun and Gifts

LAUREL CREATED THESE BEAUTIFUL PLANTERS IN THE COURTYARD....WHAT A SURPRISE TO COME HOME AND SEE THESE! LOVE THEM AND I COULDN'T HAVE DONE AS WELL....see siblings...part of your gift!
Dad gave me a lovely rose bush, the Baldacci book, a good read for San Diego,------YAHOO-----(PLUS A PERFECT PRESENT OF AN APPLE LAPTOP double YAHOO!!! (all the better to see you with my dear----the built in camera to talk to grandsons!!!)...The kids (thanks to Laurel's shopping gave me PS I Love YOU (DVD), the book Wisdom of the Prophets, and ta duh! The Host, by Stephenie Meyer (book on CD) I will share with anyone...get on the waiting list...I have to listen first! Also, a skirt and top that I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!! (all gold and white)

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF MY NEW SHORT HAIR? (IGNORE ALL THE WRINKLES, PLEASE)

Brady set the timer on the camera.....look how FUNNY....Grandma's face is totally hidden by Jeanene's glass of water!!! (Alert---Jocey sure looks happy or is that America's Next Top Model look????)
SEE HOW SERIOUS WE ARE ABOUT MAY I

What a wonderful Mother's Day! It started by listening to my AMAZING mother speak in her sacrament meeting on Women and Mothers. She did fabulously and brought the spirit so strongly into her ward. We all loved every word and all of her stories and quotes from the prophets. Love you so much MOM! (I wish I would have gotten a picture of you in your pink dress with that HUGE orchid corsage)

We then hurried to our own ward and John taught his superb gospel doctrine lesson.....I DON'T KNOW HOW HE DOES IT WEEK IN AND OUT! I know that we all appreciate him in our ward and feel blessed to have him teach us.

We had a delicious Sunday dinner and screamed like crazy to see the JAZZ WIN! HURRAH!!!

Jeanene came out to visit with Mom and me. It was wonderful to be with Jeanene....Happy Mother's day, sis! We played a serious game of MAY I! It was so nice.....even Brady played (he would rather have us rip off his toe nails and feed them to him than play May I....he detests that game....so Brady thanks for sacrificing) Even Jocey played! Thank you Jocey! We opened presents and I took some pictures so that Megan, Emily and Johnny could see how thorough Laurel was in spending everyone's money for my presents. SHE DID A GREAT JOB AND I LOVE EVERY THING!!!!

It ended by watching the Survivor Finale and I was MAD that Parvati won....I thought Amanda deserved to win. Oh well....it is only Reality TV.....of course I can write that until TONIGHT when my darling little David Archuleta sings on American Idol!!! PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE.....everyone vote for David (and I don't mean David Cook) tonight so that he is in the finals!

The best part of the day was being with FAMILY! TALKING WITH EACH CHILD AND SITTING CLOSE TO MY HUBBY IN CHURCH!!! Loved, loved, loved this Mother's Day! (can't say that every other was perfect, but this was close and would have been perfect if I could have been with all five children, their spouses and our grandchildren in person! Thanks so much and LOVE YOU ALL MORE THAN YOU WILL EVER KNOW!!!

I saw something on Sierra Hess' blog about name acronyms and so I tried it at go-quiz.com ---here is what my acronym name turned out to be: Try it for yourselves.

V Vigorous
E Emotional
R Responsible
O Outrageous
N Neglected
I Important

C Confused
A Accurate

(How can you be confused and accurate at the same time???? I thought it was pretty close to home though...let me know if you try it) Jocey just said, "I like how you're writing something about yourself"...... sorry to disappoint ..... the computer generated this!

Veronica, you have such an awesome life and family. I cannot even imagine a family being so close when there are so many of you. I can hardly get my single children to visit, much less TaMara's being in Utah. Hope you got my call and will have a wonderful birthday.
Love, TaWanna
