TERRIFIC TUESDAY

So today is a much less aniety filled day. Dave Maughan, (my sister's father-in-law) had 2 workers here at 8:30 am and the hard work began. I think they were a little overwhelmed when they saw the snow pile. But they got to work and it was HARD WORK! (almost three hours worth) The courtyard and the basement window and food storage grille are cleared. The snow now sits in about an 8 foot tall wall. You can't see into our kitchen window because the snow blocks the house. I can't tell you how very much I appreciate those two men and their hard work.
Now to my uplifting thought for the day.....I stood in line at the post office today and evesdropped on a conversation between two women behind me. One was an older woman with a walker. She had to sit until it was her turn. The other woman was younger than me and she taught me something important. They were talking about all our snow and how nice it was to have a sunny day. The older lady was complaining a bit and the other lady said, "We are so lucky to live in a place where we have 4 distinct seasons. It always gives us something to look forward to." The other lady replied, "It gives us something to complain about in every season." I ask you.....which attitude would make me a happier person. I felt a lightning bolt-----POLLYANNA! I am changing my ways and making my middle name....Pollyanna!
