One of the blogs I read, Pioneer Woman, (a Montana photographer, wife, and mother) posted a beautiful picture of her husband and son on her blog. (you can see this for yourself) Gazing at that picture brought a rush of feelings to me. The love of this father is totally conveyed with a picture. I am 54 and have struggled with the concept of "father love" because my parents divorced when I was 7 years old. It really doesn't matter your age, you have feelings of rejection and confusion when you don't have one of your parents around or at least have some relationship with that parent despite distance and the family situation. You always think, "Someday...." Well, someday, death takes that parent before any resolution or relationship is developed. (as is my case) I am grateful for a loving father to our children, two wonderful grandfathers, a caring father-in-law, my precious and thoughtful son, terrific brothers, the best sons-in law, my dear and true Savior, and especially the pure and unconditional love of my Heavenly Father. I have to give praise to my mother.....she is the best "father" in the entire world. I would be lost without her. Thanks mom for ALWAYS being there and ALWAYS supporting, loving, and teaching me.
