John chipped away at the frozen glacier on our roof after work with his crowbar....it won't budge.

So, we all know the reputation of Monday....Jocelyn came into my bedroom this morning before school and said, "Mom, the rain gutters pulled off the roof and the courtyard is blocked by snow and ice. I'll have to go out the garage." I ran to the window and sure enough...it was actually worse than Jocey described. I didn't want to bother John...he had surgery and a long day. There wasn't anything he could do with his own busy day needing his attention. I called the guy who did the landscaping on our house and asked if he could use his bobcat to clear the snow mound. He couldn't. My sister, Jeanene, and my Mom had used a day laborer whom I called. He was busy and couldn't come today. My other sister, Mindy, suggested that Dave, her father-in-law, knew a man that might be able to bring his skiffer to move the snow. Mindy called and Dave came and looked at the snow problem and said, "Holy Cow! We can't move this or it will destroy your landscaping. It is going to have to be done by shovel and wheelbarrow." So to make a long story shorter.....Dave kindly arranged for some men to come and do it by hand and hard labor tomorrow morning. Unfortunately, this will be the third time we have had to replace the rain gutters in the 4 1/2 years we have lived here. So here are some pictures to document the scene....they don't do the courtyard justice. They say that bad things come in threes...I already know #2. Yesterday when we returned from Stake Conference, we started to unload the dishwasher...da DUH....millions of pieces of fractured glass were covering the dishes and the entire inside of the dishwasher. A 2 quart pyrex bowl had really not broken...oh no....it chose to fracture like the little pieces of glass you see in car windows that have shattered. Laurel and Brady put on gloves to pick and probe. Brady used the vacuum to try to get the smaller shards. We ran the dishwasher on those dishes two more times...still glass this morning. The verdict! The dishwasher is broken or dead. The repairman can't come till next Monday. So I guess we will wait to see what #3 is...I will keep everyone updated.
