Emily and Crew
After our surprising evening, we stayed up late visiting. Boating was the plan for the early morning. We all got ready to float on Willard Bay. The only disappointment was John's pager going off just as we were parking at the Bay. John unfortunately had to head to the hospital. Greg, Colton and Cannon all went fishing with Grandpa DeVries.
Johnny was happy to be with his "unofficial girlfriend" Teresa, the Tige boat. Johnny named her Teresa in 2001 when we first bought the boat.

After the successful boating outing, we went to Cafe Rio (Johnny's birthday dinner choice) for dinner. We then left for Pleasant View Founder's Day Fireworks at the Weber High football field. Another late night with Johnny and I racing to Wangsgards after the fireworks to beat the midnight beginning of the Sabbath.
We had an enjoyable Sunday together with breakfast casserole and cinnamon rolls and then afternoon church. We had to eat quickly, also making time for cake and ice cream for Johnny and Grandma Char's birthday and literally race to Salt Lake to get Johnny back to the airport and on his way home to Portland. What a wonderful weekend with family and the lovely son that enjoys surprising his parents.
Johnny has your birthday wish come true yet?
