I love this picture of Megan. So very beautiful, even in sleep. She is always sleep deprived.

Happy Birthday to Megan. I know it will be just another hard day at work for Megan, but it is a memorable day for me, as her mother. After 48 hours of hard labor, our beautiful daughter was born. We definitely experienced the most profound "love at First Sight." I couldn't believe how much hair Megan had at birth----but especially that she had so much red hair. Everyone at the hospital talked about the beautiful redheaded baby in the nursery. Grandma Ellen didn't believe me when I told her that Megan had red hair. When she came to visit at the hospital she said, "She DOES have redhair." Grandma Ellen always loved that her red hair continued in her granddaughter.

So even though it will be a long work and service day for Megan, I want her to know how very much I love her and that I am the luckiest mom on earth! Megan is always thinking of others and sacrifices her own needs whether working, feeling compassion for her patients and others, serving those in need, fellowshipping others, showing love for her parents, siblings, grandmother, nephews or niece, and always doing her utmost to ensure excellent care for her patients. Megan's character is STERLING and her COMPASSION for others is bigger than L.A.! Megan is a great example of service and love. Happy Birthday Megan! You deserve every good thing and we love you very much.
