We were all clapping when our flight attendant announced that Reno Mahe was going to lead us in the Cougar Fight Song. What a great fan --- he was such a good sport to even use the microphone. At least 50% of the flight were BYU fans. It was lots of fun. The flight attendant was the funniest guy ever....he did his announcements in Governor Schwarzenegger's voice, George Bush Senior's and Bill Clinton's voice. He is a part time comedian and he was very good at making us all laugh.
Reno stayed on tune most of the song

Love this picture of Grandpa and Colton.
Fun times at the ball park watching the Yankees and Mariners. The rookie Mariner pitcher had a no hitter going till the end of the 8th inning. Colton loves baseball even when his team doesn't win.
So good to have the two cousins together
Aunt Jocey loves her time with Crew
The DeVries family (it looks like Crew is cheering)
We had a great time at the game. Most of the University of Washington fans were friendly and classy. But the students in front of us were terrifying in their language and hand gestures. I was especially distressed about their behavior in front of our grandchildren. They were very inappropriate and one fan even purposely knocked down a row of fans behind us. I was extremely proud of John and Johnny! They were so well behaved in spite of taunts and threats! I have to admit that my head was in my hands on my knees at the end of the game....I was so nervous I couldn't stand it. So glad we were able to win----way to go JAN JORGENSEN!
Couldn't pass up taking an official photo of Colton in a BYU shirt! Go Cougars!
We really enjoyed having Brittney's mom, Stephanie with us for the weekend.
Emily spent half-time taking a short nap

We spent Saturday night around the pool. Johnny and Brittney were kind enough to put on the Shamu show for us. Brittney is feeding Johnny (Shamu) his fish as a reward for performing all his water tricks. Todd showed up in his dress shoes and swimsuit! We all had to laugh....he didn't know that Megan had packed his flip flops. Good memories of the goofy things we do together.
Poor Crew only slept being carried from the shuttle to the game and then when we left the game and walked back to the shuttle. He was an ANGEL even in the heat and noise.
Group photo after the game was over
Our hotel shuttle bus took all 17 of us to the game and then came back for us later. As you can see, we were smashed into the van like the proverbial sardines. Most embarrassing moment---the return shuttle driver and I had communication problems over the phone after the game. I finally asked, "Do you speak Espanol?" (thinking I could pass the phone to Todd) As I came to find out, Abu, our driver roared back, "I speak English." Abu probably speaks Arababic......yes, I was embarrassed.
.
Sunday morning we gathered together before we all headed our separate ways. Some of us flew home while Johnny, Brittney and Stephanie drove back to Portland. Greg, Em and the boys also drove to Missoula to break up the drive back to Idaho Falls.
Thanks everyone for a wonderful weekend. Loved being with each of you! Can't wait for the next adventure.

Veronica,
It sounds like your family and my husband were in the same spots last weekend. He was at both games. It sounds like so much fun. I know he had a blast. He's a pretty big BYU fan as well. I should introduce him to the Wolthuis family...
So good to hear what you're up to and see your cute family. Going to Costco anytime soon? :) Love ya.
