LEAVING PITTSBURGH AND THE MOCKS

We were leaving Pittsburgh on Wednesday morning, so Tuesday we made a Costco run in the morning. We were going to meet Brady for lunch on Walnut Street which is a great old area they have renovated.  Last year we happened upon a restaurant on that street that I loved.  We haven't been back though.  Unfortunately, Brady was at a mandatory meeting and so we went home.  Laurel made us the most delicious roast, potatoes and gravy, hot rolls, and jello....such a great dinner to make me forget Walnut Street.

That evening we went to the park near the High School that Laurel did her internship at last winter.  The area is very nice and there were tons of people at the park.  Paisley just decided to go her way and so I tagged along after her while Brady, Laurel, and Jocelyn played catch with the baseball and the football.

Paisley acts much older than her 19 months

Wheeeeeeeeeeeee

Jocelyn is totally going for the ball---what a good defender
Eat your heart out, Steve Young---Larry, I mean Laurel has the spiral down pat
Such a cute couple
Brady has taught Paisley --- "Ready, Set, Hut"
Touchdownnnnnnnn!
"Too late, daddy.  I scored."
The two big girls wanted to read.  They couldn't put down their Hunger Games (Laurel) and Catching Fire (Jocelyn).  They have read the trilogy now and loved them.
Brady is so skinny now that he and Paisley could teeter totter together
Funny story.....Paisley was on the Merry go round they had at the park with another little girl about her age.  The mother was there watching her and then she started talking to us.  She was from Utah.  She and her husband and 3 kids had just moved to Pittsburgh for him to finish his residency.  He had gone to medical school at Ohio State and he was a huge Utah fan.  The wife told us she had seen the car in the parking lot with the oval Y and wondered who the car belonged to.  They were in a different stake and ward, but it is always amazing how you can meet LDS members and instantly bond.....even with a fanatical Utah fan.

We ended our park excursion at Cold Stone....yummy.  We got Paisley ice cream in a cup.  We learned quickly that she needed a cone for her ice cream.
The next morning saw us saying goodbye

Notice in the 3 pictures above that Paisley has her hands in her mouth....nail biting ever since they took the binkie away and taking after her mommy and Aunt Jocelyn. Yikes!

Thanks so much Brady, Laurel and Paisley.  We had a great visit and now we can't wait for Paisley and Laurel to come visit us in Utah in October.
