HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO US! 36 HAPPY YEARS

I really can't believe that 36 years have passed since John and I were married in the Logan Temple.  The day was almost perfect (excepting my nervous stomach) and I knew without doubt that I was so blessed to be marrying the man I had loved for so many years.  36 years have only intensified those feelings to a higher level of love and appreciation for our life together.  John is a wonderful husband and father.  He has always sacrificed his own needs to make sure that his family is taken care of.  He is dedicated to his profession and conscientious to a tee.  Even after 22 years as a gospel doctrine teacher, he still studies, prepares, and presents a lesson that is uplifting and full of knowledge and spirituality.  John has one of the brightest minds around.  He has a great ability to remember so many things and his knowledge is so broad in many areas.  I continue to be surprised at all the things he knows.  I am thankful he makes me laugh every day. John is so supportive of me flying off to visit children when he has to stay behind and work.  I am grateful. John has always been my one and only!  I look forward to 36 more years and forever being together.  Love you, John.

This picture was taken with us sitting in the back of John's 1970 orange Toyota Corolla.  Oh the memories of the miles we traveled in that car from Colorado to Utah on such snowy roads that we were practically the only car on the freeway, to John driving that car daily to work in South Carolina in 90 something degree weather with 100 percent humidity with holes in the bottom of the car so that you could see the road whizzing by as you drove.  Megan and Emily once played in the car in our Denver driveway and all of a sudden John was zooming out of the front door to stop the car that they had knocked into gear before it rolled into the neighbors car parked on the street.   What a wonderful car!

Our photographer did not show up at the Logan Temple on our wedding day.  John's sister, Susan, was married the next summer in the Logan Temple and our photographer was also hers.  He showed up for their wedding and took this picture of us....a year later!  I am happy to report we still felt like newlyweds.
