Johnny and Britt outside of the Portland Temple on their wedding day.
In 2004, Johnny and Laurel both began an adventure at BYU-Idaho. Johnny decided to take a class in Architecture in Interior Design to fill general requirements. Little did he know that Brittney, the beautiful blonde sitting in front of him, would be Mrs. John Wolthuis by the end of the year. I remember the first time I met Brittney in class as I was visiting for Mother's Week at BYU-I. I thought she was terrific. As they progressed in their dating, I had never seen Johnny so happy when they were together or so sad when Brittney was in Oregon. We have loved seeing them evolve over the past few years. We are so proud of their dedicated efforts in their work and school. We love to hear about their missionary experiences together and they have been so generous to us each time we visit! We love their home and love visiting them and having them visit us. Dad is certainly taken with Oregon. Johnny and Brittney are perfect for each other. They compliment each other so well and are happy being together. We were lucky enough to have them live in our basement apartment for two years and treasure those times. Happy Anniversary to an amazing and wonderful couple. We love them both so much and are so grateful they found each other...it was certainly meant to be.
