BRADEN'S WALK ALONG

Braden and his dad Tod

Our local PTA did a fundraiser for our special friend, Braden. Tragically, Braden was shot last November while visiting his grandparents, by a neighbor's grandson who had been drinking. Braden and his grandfather were out walking and our dear Braden was shot, rushed to the emergency room, stabilized, and taken to Primary Children's Medical Center in Salt Lake. He was in the ICU for weeks and had to have surgeries. Miraculously, with many prayers, blessings and great doctors, this amazing fighter stayed with us to bless our lives. Unfortunately, the medical costs are astronomical and their family has to bear this burden as innocent victims. The fundraiser was a success and some money was raised to install a DVD player in their car since Braden has so many doctor appointments still. I am very impressed with the generosity and goodness of people who care about Braden. Our PTA did such a great job!
Some of Braden's supportive family members
Our great PTA president, Jami, in the center. Jami's daughter, Madi, and Wendy
Three of my adorable Sunbeams. Masey, (Jami's daughter)
and Emma and Alex (Wendy's twins)
Jocelyn with Braden's mom, Cindie
Some of the kitchen help---Karen, Me, Jocelyn, Quinton, and Mark
We had fun selling hot dogs, nachos, hot chocolate, (yes, it still feels like winter here) soda and water. We are missing Angie, Jennie, and Joni in this photo....sorry Joni, Jennie, and Angie. We all had a great feeling helping in the fundraiser for someone we love so much.

My adorable Jocelyn showed me her YMCA moves as people walked around the gym to loud and fun music.
