Jocey was determined to be a ballerina and after quitting jazz/tap classes and beginning ballet, she never complained about going to ballet class EVER!

18 years ago today, our youngest child, Jocelyn was born. She was born on my mother, Charlene, her grandmother's birthday. They have always shared this special day and it will be very different having Jocey a continent away, in France, celebrating her coming of age. How we love her! Jocey adds a great dimension to our family. I have seen qualities of unselfishness and pure love displayed with her expert care and choice relationship with Paisley. Jocey loves her nephews just as much, but they haven't been living in the same house as little babies. Jocey is a caring daughter too. She has been so kind and considerate as she has been the one to take care of me on those Sunday evenings and into the night when I have been so sick with the side effects of my MS shot. Jocey is straight and sure in making good choices and setting goals. She brightens our lives with activities, future plans for her life, beauty, and yes, her clumsiness. I have missed those loud "Ouches" as she hits her hip on the granite counter, slips and falls down the stairs, or hits her elbows or knees. She is so intelligent and well rounded in her interests. Jocelyn is curious about the world and has learned many important and also useful things in her college pursuits. She is a confident traveler and I always feel secure when we travel together because she is so in the know of what we need to do and where to go. We are comfortable together whether talking or silent.

Jocelyn we hope you have a happy birthday so far away! We will be thinking of you all day and can't wait to see you in person and have a belated celebration. You are an amazing and stellar young woman. We are so blessed to have you as our daughter. We love you!
