I have had very tender feelings thinking about John's birthday. John is a wonderful man and has so many admirable qualities. He sacrifices so much for our family. He works hard EVERY day and is conscientious to a fault. He has such a broad range of knowledge and I shouldn't still be surprised by his amazing memory for facts. He is so generous to encourage me to travel to visit our children out of state and loves them very much. He is happiest when he can be with his family. I admire his great ability to teach the gospel doctrine class and I sit wide-eyed and listen intently each week as I gain so much from his talent of linking an opening joke to spiritual principles. Happy birthday, John! I love you dearly and appreciate all you mean in my life.

This is cracking me up! I love the pics you post of John because I only know him as the quiet, serious (okay, he can tell a good joke in Gospel Doctrine, so he's not ALWAYS serious) Gospel Doctrine teacher. It's fun to see another side of him.
And I loved the picture of him playing the piano! We're still waiting for the bishop to okay him for Primary pianist. :)
