We REALLY celebrated Colton's birthday. We went to Chuck E Cheese for an afternoon of pizza, tokens and games. Colton had many activities he wanted to do while he was in Ogden. The one thing we didn't get to do was go out on the boat. I would say Colton had successive days of celebrating and he didn't mind missing a boat activity. Jocelyn also took Colton and Cannon to see Ice Age 3. We packed in the fun times.
Several times a day, Crew wanted to walk to the barn and see the cows. The cows would retreat
from John or other big people, but when Crew came right up to the fence, without any fear of these huge animals, the cows would lick his hand and eat hay from his hand. Crew would stand next to Bart and Judy's rottweiler, Halley, and pet her. He has no fear!
Colton also wanted to celebrate by going to the Ogden Pioneer Rodeo too. (Greg was in Alaska fishing with his dad, brothers, uncle and cousins for 7 days ---so Em and the boys stayed with us) We had a great time watching the cowboys and cowgirls compete. The scariest moment was when a bullrider was cracked in the head by a huge bull rearing up into the rider, not once, but TWICE. They had to help that poor cowboy out of the arena.
Lots of goodies to eat

Emily and Crew loved the rodeo...Crew loves animals
Colton wanted to celebrate his "BIRTH DATE" (the 22nd) by going to the North Ogden pool. He met all his darling girl cousins from Rock Springs with Aunt Liz, Grandma D, Grandma V, and Jocelyn to splash and play. We had pizza at the pool. We had cake and ice cream later at home.

not a bad way to swim

I think someone is 8
trying to take our picture ourselves. I couldn't
find a picture of just Colton and me, except from
when he was much younger. Here goes.......

Grandpa and Grandma DeVries and Uncle Steve
The Wolthuis family and Grandma Char
My heart melts looking at Colton in his white clothes. I am so thankful for his worthy dad, Greg, baptizing Colton and then using his priesthood authority to confirm Colton. It was a memorable and very special day. I felt honored to speak about the Holy Ghost. My first grandson baptized....This wonderful event was the best way to finish all of Colton's birthday activities.
