The smile says it all
The happy graduate--when mom said that Devin needed to turn in his cap and gown before we could go to dinner......Devin said, "I paid $42,000 for this. It's mine."
Devin placed his red stole around mom's neck in honor of her support for him over the years. This sweet gesture brought tears to our eyes.
I am so proud of my brother, Devin. Devin decided at age 45, to start college. Devin is actually smarter than any college educated graduate because he has done such a variety of things and is smart enough to pick up great amounts of knowledge through experience. Devin sacrificed many things and studied and worked to achieve his BS degree. He then decided to pursue his Executive Master's of Business degree from the University of Utah! (yes the evil red empire school) After 5 semesters of projects, studying, no sleep (while he became the owner of a new business and worked 16 hour days there) and dedication to his wife, Eileen, the business, school, his family, and church calling, he graduated on May 8th! He did both degrees in less than 5 years. I am so very proud of you, Devin! Kudos!

This is such a wonderful event!!!! I am so impressed with Devin's determination in all things and to do this later in life, well it's just amazing. I'm sure tears and more tears were shed that day!!!! Congrats to him!!! Just amazing and wonderful!!!!
So excited for him...what a good example he is to us all on setting goals and achieving them! So glad that you were all able to support him at graduation that night...even if it was at the U!

Well, this milestone became a goal becuase of those that have set example sin their lives that I desired to duplicate. Also, shortly after Y2K when Pres. Hinckley discussed the value of education did I recognize that I might be old, but not that old.
